Lands End

Designed as bird habitat to replace removed ground cover at Lands End trailhead, the 172 foot brush sculpture references the natural topography of the site. The sculpture also prevents trailblazing and stands at the start of the new trail. Created in collaboration with the Audubon Society and the National Parks Service. Funded by The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, The Goldman Foundation and the National Parks Service. 172 feet of brush, San Francisco, 2006 Lands End: 2009 Commissioned by: The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, The Goldman Foundation and the National Parks Service
